As another year draws to a close, I would like to take a moment and look back at my adventures this year. Please let me know which one interested you the most.
Hunting Antelope in Wyoming (Part 1 / Part 2)
Most of you know by now that my favorite hunt every year is in Wyoming. The Great State of Wyoming is my second home. I lived there for many years and still have friends and family there. This year’s hunt was exceptional, and you can read all about it here and here.
A Snowy Hunt for Kansas Whitetails
All things considered, this was an incredible hunt with my good friend Dean Capuano, Director of Communications for Swarovski OPTIK North America. You can read all about our hunt for whitetails in Kansas here.
Hunting for Normality at the Game & Field Fair
When I received an invitation from John Burrell from the High Adventure Company and Michael Pepi from Jonas Brothers Taxidermy to attend the Game & Field Fair, I had to go. Given the opportunity to travel and see friends, I jumped all over this. Finally, an opportunity to show off our products to potential customers! It had been over a year since our last trade show. You can read all about the event here.
Hunting Swamp Gobblers in South Carolina
It was a tough couple days of hunting, but it was worth it for this bird. He weighed just under 18 lbs and had 7/8” spurs and a 9” beard. Follow me on this hunt here.
Brown Trout and Browning Territory

A great fishing trip with the boys from Browning! Our guide took us to a secret stretch of river filled with brown trout. You can read all about it here, but I won’t be giving away the secret location.
Lobstering in Islamorada with Field Ethos
It’s always a great time with the guys from Field Ethos. This year, we went lobstering in Islamorada, plus some backcountry and offshore fishing. Get the full story here.
Antelope Hunting at 55 Ranch
My annual trek to the 55 Ranch in Glenrock, Wyoming did not disappoint. Enough said.
Fly Fishing for Snook in Islamorada
And last, but not least, I returned to Islamorada for some offshore and fly fishing. Because when you can’t hunt, you fish! Read about this trip here.
Which trip from this year did you enjoy reading about the most? What adventures did you take yourself? As the year closes, I wish you and your families the happiest new year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
